First things first, how does a salt pool work?
Salt pools still contain chlorine, this fact is commonly misunderstood. The difference is how the chlorine is added into the pool water. A salt chlorine generator or “salt cells” work by what’s called electrolysis. The salt water is electrically charged and results in the salt molecules splitting and generating chlorine. The salt cell is controlled by a Wi-Fi enabled pool chemical controller that will ensure proper pool water cleanliness and chemistry at all times. This system monitors the water chemistry and filtration system twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week and automatically dispenses the proper chemicals to balance the pool water. This assures a comfortable and safe swimming experience for all who use The Abington Club’s lap pool.
